Able Information Technologies, Inc. has been called upon to serve as part of a vendor focus group for the Mohave Educational Services Cooperative. Mohave is steering a course toward some exciting changes that will take effect January 1st, 2008, revamping their processes for receiving purchase orders, preparing purchase orders for vendors, invoicing and auditing. Mohave membership has grown substantially in the last few years; in order to continue to provide high quality, responsive services without raising prices, the purchasing consortium will streamline its business practices and redirect employee job descriptions. During the planning phase, two focus groups, consisting of 12 vendors and 20 members, will act as sounding boards to point out potential challenges with the new procedures and offer suggestions for improvement. Open meetings will also be conducted around to state to help prepare members and vendors for the transition.
